Lin BirdLin Bird lives in the South Wales valleys and was a teacher until a diagnosis of leukaemia and a bone marrow transplant led to early ill-health retirement. Dealing with a life changing illness brought a sharper focus on the things that matter in life Writing had always been a guilty pleasure but it was the imposition of the lockdown in March 2020 that created a space to bring her writing to the forefront. Lin picked up the threads of a novel that had been bubbling away on the back burner of her mind for many years.
