Liliana CepoiLiliana Cepoi is a specialist in the biotechnology of microalgae and cyanobacteria. Her scientific area of interest is oxidative stress and its potential application as a tool in biotechnology, including in the biotechnologies for remediating water cntaminated with heavy metals. She studies the bioaccumulation of various pollutants in iterative processes involving cyanobacteria from the genera Arthrospira and Nostoc. She is the author of 11 chapters in books edited by prestigious scientific publishers (Elsevier, Springer, Wales) and a co-editor of a book in the field of contaminated water bioremediation. She is author and co-author of numerous articles in WoS and Scopus indexed scientific journals and over 30 invention patents, with the innovative subject matter being various strain of microorganisms of biotechnological interest, their cultivation processes, and methods for biomass quality control.
