Leslie Y DawsonLeslie Y. Dawson is a journalist and researcher who has written about the Great Lakes, medicine, women in science, environmental issues, and family history. She holds a Master of Science degree with extensive publications in U.S. and Canadian periodials. Her previous books include Managing Diabetes on a Budget, How to Save Up to $3000 a Year on Your Diabetes Costs, and No Goat Canyon, a book of poetry. In 2014 she won first place in the Tangent Lines Poetry Contest and serves with the board of Edmonton's Stroll of Poets Society.
