Lesley DownerLesley Downer is an author, journalist, and historian. After finding herself in Japan, nearly by accident, she spent some fifteen years living there on and off and has written many books, both non-fiction and fiction, about it. Downer has traveled al over the world as a journalist and served as the historical consultant for Northern Baller's spectacular 2020 ballet, Geisha.
