Leonard C BryantLeonard C. Bryant, Sr. was raised in Compton, California where he attended schools in the Compton Unified School District. Shortly after graduating high school, he joined the United States Army and became a combat medic. While very rewarding, it was lso very easy for him to get caught up in an addiction. During this time, it was the first time he got drunk and high. After leaving the military in 1988, he struggled for the next fifteen years with addiction. When he started attending Narcotics Anonymous meetings, he would see the destructive power of addiction as it destroyed so many lives. Good professional people, from dancers to politicians. Addiction was an equal opportunity destroyer. In his fifteen years of addiction, he had fallen many times, relapse after relapse. He just could not seem to find a balance without using. And in the struggle for some reason, he could not seem to get the support or help that he needed to stand. Leonard wrote "I Shall Get Up & Stand" to help others that are in the struggle of addiction or who know someone that is struggling to give them the support and help they need to put this issue behind them. Leonard is grateful for his struggles and for being an overcomer. Today, he counsels many on the effects of addiction. Leonard is the Apostle of Storming the Gates of Hell Ministries in Las Vegas, Nevada and the founder of the Radical Movement Fellowship of Churches. He is a proud husband, a father of ten children and a grandfather of twenty-six. Leonard created a legacy of fighting through the disease of addiction and ultimately coming out a winner. Now, his life is dedicated to helping as many as he can. Read More Read Less
