Leon PetrazyckiLeon Petrazycki was born on April 29, 1867 near the city of Vitebsk in Belarus (bordered by Russia). In 1891 Petrazycki obtained his master's degree in Roman Law from the University of Kiev. Petrazycki later went on to the Universityin St. Petersburg where he was awarded a doctorate in law, and eventually became the chair of jurisprudence at that institution. His other writings include Study of Law and Morality and Theory of Law and State in Connection With a Theory of Morality.
