Leigh Ann BucknerLeigh Ann Buckner is a native of South Carolina, having lived in both the upstate and low country. She is a graduate of Winthrop University. She received her Masters from Furman University. She owes part of her writing ability to the illustrator, herformer AP English teacher in high school, who never hesitated to mark her papers with a red pen. As an educator in South Carolina for over 20 years, she has read countless books aloud to her students. She shared her dream with her students of writing her own picture book.
