Lee UptonLee Upton is an American poet and a graduate of the MFA Program for Poets & Writers at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.She is the author of several books of poetry and literary criticism, including Civilian Histories (2000, University of Geogia Press) and The Muse of Abandonment (Bucknell University Press).Her work is featured in American Alphabets: 25 Contemporary Poets (2006) and many other anthologies. Upton is currently a professor of English and writer in residence at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania. She was honored with the Lyric Poetry Award and The Writer Magazine/Emily Dickinson Award at the group's 95th annual awards ceremony April 28, 2005, at The New School in New York City.
