Lee O CherryCountries throughout the world clamor for more scientists and technologists, seeking to expand their economies through innovation. Reaching out to the public to excite them about the world of science and technology has been assisted directly or indirctly through efforts of organizations such as the African Scientific Institute (ASI), a non-profit corporation since 1967, which represents an international network of scientists and technologists. One of the primary goals of the Institute has always been to enhance awareness, development, and participation of African-Americans in the world of science and technology. ASI has sought to broaden the base of awareness among these historically neglected U.S. citizens. ASI has always believed brilliant, even marginally brilliant students would somehow make it in America. But what about the remaining 95%+ other African-Americans, whose plight gets in the way of their personal progress? ASI has always tapped into this vast resource of people and assisted in bringing them into the world of science and technology. We believe if you will not come to science and technology, then ASI will bring science and technology to you. We believe that anyone interested in science and technology as a career path can look towards the ASI Fellows as a source of excellence. African Scientific Institute ASI Fellows Program P.O.
