Lawrence ManuLawrence Manu was born in Ghana, the fifth of ten siblings. The demands and deprivations of village life instilled the values of hard work, contentment, self-restraint, and endurance in him at an early age.

He graduated with an Honors B.A.in political science and sociology from the University of Ghana, Legon, in 1985, then served as a teaching assistant for two years, before moving to Canada to attend the University of Toronto for graduate studies, where he went on to obtain a M.A. and M.Ed.

It was after this, when life's troubles arose, that he began to have a personal relationship with God. Lawrence was called to full-time ministry with the Church of Pentecost Canada in 2004, where he was a pastor until retiring in 2019.

He lives in Georgetown, Ontario, with his wife, Lydia Mensah, married for over forty years. They have three grown children-Vera, Lawrence Jr., and Cecilia-and three grandchildren-Avah, Ariel, and Amaya.
