He received the Teacher of the Year Award while on the faculty of MIT and was repeatedly nominated for Best Professor at Fletcher, INSEAD and Tulan University. Professor Weiss has testified before the US Congress on bankruptcy reform, and has served as an expert witness in both civil and criminal cases.
