Inheriting his grandfather's original, weathered journal, Laurent felt an innate desire to connect with his grandfather through his diary entries, letters, postcards, ews clippings, and even pressed dried flowers. This journey led Rejto to a profound understanding of his grandfather and other family members he had never had the opportunity to meet, including seven great aunts and uncles. As a writer, Rejto's body of work includes magazine articles, short stories, screenplays, and teleplays. He also undertook the translation of his father Thomas Rejto's World War II novel, "The Reluctant Adventurer," originally published in 1956 as "Aventurier malgré soi." For four decades, Laurent has built a versatile career encompassing roles as a producer, writer, director, film editor, actor and custom woodworker. In the year 2000, he conceptualized and drafted the article of incorporation for the Woodstock Film Festival and the Hudson Valley Film Commission. Read More Read Less
