Laura W HarrisLaura Harris recently retired from her position as Reference & Instruction Librarian at Iliff School of Theology in Denver, Colorado, where she served for over 12 years. Prior to working with graduate students and faculty at Iliff, she worked at othe academic libraries, public libraries, and the Colorado Supreme Court Library. Her desire has always been to empower people by guiding them to find, evaluate, and use relevant and reliable information. She thinks librarians probably receive more "thank you's" than any other workers. Laura reads widely from periodicals, books, and cereal boxes. Her favored subjects include history, biography, psychology, spirituality, religion, politics, historical fiction, and the occasional who-done-it. She can get interested in just about anything for at least a while. Laura also enjoys hiking mountain trails, ballroom dancing, traveling near and far, participating in an interfaith dinner group, and sleeping in.
