LaTeef Babatunde SalamLateef Babatunde Salam was educated at Lagos State University (B.Sc.) and the University of Lagos (M.Sc., Ph.D). He is an Associate Professor of Environmental Microbiology and Microbial Biotechnology. He lectures at the Department of Biological Scienes, Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo, Nigeria. He has supervised students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has published widely in reputable journals, and he is a regular reviewer for high impact journals in the field of Microbiology, Environmental Science, Biotechnology and Molecular biology. His current research focus is on the use of metagenomics to unravel microbiomes of pristine and perturbed environments and the impacts of diverse environmental stressors on species richness and diversity. He was at various times Head of Department of Biological Sciences, and the Director of Academic Planning, a member of several scientific societies, and currently the Head, Department of Biological Sciences, Elizade University.
