Hensley, PhD, earned his undergraduate degree in physical education from Southern Methodist University, his master's degree from Indiana University, and his doctorate from the University of Georgia. Dr. Hensley is an Emeritus Professor in th School of Health, Physical Education, and Leisure Services (HPELS) at the University of Northern Iowa. He was a Distinguished Visiting Professor at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point from 1999 to 2000 and served as an Advisory Professor at the Hong Kong Institute of Education in 2004.
