Larae KempBorn and raised in Palo Alto, California, LaRae earned an MD degree from University of Colorado Medical School. After her first marriage ended in divorce, she married Ty Kemp who was a member of the US Foreign Service; LaRae joined the State Departmet as a physician in the diplomatic corp. She has worked in the Ivory Coast, Congo-Kinshasa, Congo-Brazzaville, Gabon, Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Israel, Cyprus, Moscow, Barbados, Washington, DC, and others too numerous to name.
