Laquan AustionLaquan Austion is the current CEO and Founder of The National Juneteenth Foundation. Prior to starting The Juneteenth Foundation, Laquan has worked on some of the most politically-charged issues at the both the state and federal levels. His work inclded leading strategy and design for advocacy clients and private sector companies. From positioning and crisis communications, Laquan is skilled at weaving together the most effective mix of strategies and tactics to move the needle on pressing public policy issues. Laquan brings his extensive experiences to bear by finding innovative, highly customized solutions in places others do not know to look. The Juneteenth Foundation started by Laquan tapping his passion for DE&I, moving the needle forward on complex public policy issues, and a desire to find a way garner support for an overlooked and under-celebrated holiday.
