Before starting her private practice, she was the department head of the Child Development Unit at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai, India, and founded Little Hearts Chldren's Hospital in Hyderabad in 1997. Also in Hyderabad, she founded the Saandeepani Centre for Healing and Curative Education in 2004 for children with special needs and developmental delays.Dr. Lakshmi uses an integrated approach toward child development and treatment.
