La HarrisLA Harris believes in the power of transformation through the gift of words. Her first poem, at the age of fourteen, was called Camp Goodbye. It was written and read on her last night of Girl Scouts camp. It was in the silence she heard the words pouing into her spirit. She has been moved by the influence words have on minds, hearts, bodies and souls. Her words celebrate her faith, seek peace, embrace love, question humanity, struggle with doubt and fear, and push readers to think andpursue the possibilities. Her words celebrated weddings and the birth of children, support through sickness, loss and grief, a cheering station for promotions and new opportunities, and a call to justice in places of silence. Her writing has always been to encourage, inspire, to honor and to respect the journey called life, and to thank God for every word breathed onto paper that transformed a moment in time. She is known to people as a person of faith, academician, a coach, consultant, collaborator, trainer, speaker, passionate, project manager, problem solver, idea generator, consensus builder, and results oriented. She earned her undergraduate degree at Hampton University and her graduate degree at Northwestern University, Kellogg Graduate School of Management. She owns LA Harris Consulting. Her work experiences include Ford Motor Company, American Express, Kean University and University of Virginia. What is most important to LA is being known as a daughter, sister, niece, cousin, best friend, Soror and servant.
