L T MasseyLaurel Massey trained as a medical missionary and served to Colombia, South America (1972-1980) in orphanage care. To learn Spanish better, she began Child Evangelism gospel clubs for children. Then began writing Spanish cookbook/first aid manuals, ad women's meeting guides, while conducting deliverance sessions in city-wide churches. By 1975, Massey established monthly women's rallies in Bogotá. Soon, hundreds of women attended. In the next years, she produced and hosted the first English daily live radio program on Pat Robertson's station with presentations over Voice of America. Massey earned an MBA in economics and PhD, becoming a guest lecturer at The Leadership Institute, Washington, D.C. training on the use of radio, print, and electronic media to boost conservative political campaigns in Bolivia, Holland, and Haiti. By 1994, she was an independent journalist for CBN-TV, Charisma Magazine, and European media outlets. She traveled with The Samaritan's Purse to Bosnia and Romania at the height of the war. As a widow in 2017, she married another widower, Kurt W. Massey, an ex-US Army Ranger Instructor. Together, both served as chaplains with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Assoc., deploying to disaster areas while owning and operating WCDG 88.7 FM radio station in the Appalachian foothills of North Georgia (2011-2021).
