L D ReddickLAWRENCE DUNBAR REDDICK (1910-1995) did research and taught history in Kentucky, New York City, Atlanta and Montgomery. He held a PhD from the University of Chicago. For nine years he was curator of the unique Schomburg Collectio of Negro Literature f the New York Public Library. He was a professor of history at the University of Atlanta, at Temple University, and at Coppin State College. He was a visiting professor of Afro-American studies at Harvard University and taught Afro-American history at Dillard University in New Orleans from 1978-1987.
