Kui LiDr. Kui Li graduated from Wuhan University with a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics. Prof. Li's research interests include porcine genome and breeding, porcine genetic engineering, experimental mini-pigs, and medical models. He has been working on these filds more 30 years, which has been leading to great effect in the world and obtaining economic benefits. Since 2004, Prof. Li has systematically developed the researches of porcine genome, transcriptomes of different developmental stages, epigenome. Particularly, he first compared the multi-omics of different developmental stages of Chinese and Western pig breeds and found lots of multi-level molecular markers. Prof. Li generated more than 10 new breeding materials including MSTN-edited pigs, anti-porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome pigs, which provide the porcine breeding new technique and new material conservation.
