Kshirod ParidaKshirod Parida (born 1956) is a poet, essayist, short story writer and translator. His translation work has a wide coverage of the contemporary Indian literature. He has a unique and rare poetic voice among his peers which gives a new tune to our priitive mystic poetic sense with philosophical touch and coherent word coinage. His poetry collections Arohan, Sei Sudura Naii, Shikha Shikhar and Nishiddha Ilaka. His translation work includes award-winning titles of eminent Indian authors like Rabindranath Tagore, Kunwar Narain, Mahasweta Devi, Indira Goswami, Sankha Ghosh, Sunil Gangopadhyay, Kedarnath Singh, UR Ananthamuthy, D. Jayakanthan, Manglesh Dabral, Surjit Patar, Chandrasekhar Kambhar and many others. His essays and feature articles are confined to the current affairs of regional, national and international literature. Other than Odisha Sahitya Academy Award (2010) for translation his awards include Jhankar Puraskar, Kadambini Puraskar, Dhwani Pratidhwani Award, Brahmananda Memorial Award, Ekamra Pusthak Mohatsab Samman, Anandapur Sahitya Samman, both Junior and Senior Fellowship of Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
