Korey WoodsIllustrator KOREY WOODS was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Gary, Indiana. He has been deeply involved in art and writing since the first grade. Through the constant support of his single mother Merry Christmas Woods, he kept away from the trubles of his rough environment and stayed focused on his love of art. This was appreciated by teachers and students alike, to the point he was called out of class for art projects and readings at special events. He attended Emerson School of Visual and Performing Arts where he honed his skills and flourished as a freelance artist. This led him towards a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the International Academy of Design and Technology. He continued to be a freelance artist, perform in many poetry shows, and host shows until he moved to Columbus, Indiana. There he continues his love of art with the belief that nothing is impossible.
