Kochi DoiKochi Doi studied English literature and classic Japanese at Tokyo Imperial University. Following his graduation, he did research in France, England, and Italy. On his return to Japan he taught at a number of universities, introducing English romantiism. also pursued his study of classical Japanese literature, the comparative study of mythology, as well as Eastern and Western literature.
