Kishori Charan DasKishori Charan Das (1924 - 2004) was born in Khatbin Sahi, Cuttack and held positions as Additional Deputy Comptroller and Auditor General of India and Director of Audit, Indian Accounts, Washington D.C., 1961-1964. Some of his important works are: Banga Khelana (1961), Ghara Bahuda (1968), Manihara (1970), Thakura Ghara (1975), Khelara nam ranga (1982), Bhinna Paunsha (1984), Shita Lahara (1986), Nija Sanja (1992), Taranga (1997) (all short stories): Mana Kamana (1983) (poetry), Lekhakara Samsara (1986) (essays), Satoti Dinara Sati, 1993, Neta O Netramani, 1997 (both novels), Death of an Indian, 1984, The midnight Moon and other stories, 1993 (both short stories), Faces in the dark, 1980 (poetry). He was awarded the Odisha Sahitya Academy Award in 1976, Sarala Puraskar in 1985 and Bishuva Puraskar in 1992.
