Kirk BrinkI began my doctoral studies in 1971 with a fellowship at DePaul University in Chicago and completed my PhD in 1978. I began working as a staff psychologist at Pine Rest Mental Health Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1975 and became a licensed clincal psychologist in 1980, at which time I began my private practice. During the last 45 years, I have been an adjunct faculty member at Trinity Christian College, Hope College, Aquinas College, Grand Valley State Colleges, Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, and the Institute for Individual and Group Psychotherapy (IIGP). During this time period, I have had an active practice of individual, group, couples, and family psychotherapy and supervision of other therapists. I have also consulted with mental health agencies, businesses, and regional hospitals. I have been a board member at the Michigan Group Psychotherapy Society and IIGP for the last 20 years. Richard and I supervised our first group of psychotherapists 30 years ago, worked separately for many years, and now have co-led groups for the last 3 years. In April 2021, we began our fourth TGC group.-Kirk L. Brink, PhD Read More Read Less
