Kim TerryKim Terry, author of FROM HER MOTHER'S ARMS, is a retired college English professor, wife, mother, and grandmother who wants to write like Karin Slaughter when she grows up. Also a published poet with her works appearing in Ingenue, Christian Bible Tacher, Asahi Network, and a number of school literary publications, she began banging out her first work-in-progress, BY HER DAUGHTER'S HANDS (from which FROM HER MOTHER'S ARMS originates) in January 2009 after attending the Laughing Gull Writer's Workshop in Port Aransas, Texas. She finished FROM HER MOTHER'S ARMS at her husband's bedside in April 2016 as a Camp NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) writing project. Since she retired, she, her husband, and their dog have been living in their RV and traveling to different parts of Texas in their self-designed book tour throughout Texas and, eventually, throughout the United States. My three favorite authors are Joy Fielding, Karin Slaughter and Lisa Gardner. Who are your faves? I love all fiction but especially action, adventure and suspense. I'm always looking for the latest in contemporary fiction and like reading new indie authors. My three most memorable books by my three favorite authors are (Fielding) GRAND AVENUE (Slaughter) TRIPTYCH (Gardner) THE PERFECT HUSBAND Kim asks, The book is ALWAYS better than the movie right? Curling up on the sofa with the latest thriller suspense novel is my idea of a good weekend! Read More Read Less
