Kim BambrookKim Bambrook is an author, poet, and adventurer. A whimsical child prone to wandering the paddocks of her childhood farm and making up stories to recite to her pet cows, Kim entered adulthood seeking adventure and exploration. Filling travel journalswas both a compulsion and Kim's way of trying to make sense of the world. While travelling solo across the globe on foot, and by bicycle, Kim did not envision that her first novel - Undertow - would be inspired by adventures at sea. Enticed by the ultimate sea change of living aboard a yacht, Kim moved to Tasmania ten years ago. It was here that Kim learned to sail and discovered a sense of freedom that went beyond the physical. Experiences in the Southern Ocean - unexpected, exhilarating and, on occasion, life threatening - gave Kim's pen new power, words flowing as effortlessly as wind in the sails. Kim currently lives on the Freycinet Peninsula. She continues her exploration of wild places, writing book in hand. Her latest writing projects include a poem about an ill-fated hike and a short story that delves into the subject of cruelty and revenge. Read More Read Less
