By reading this book, they will know and would be able to visualise what I know about 'FIFO' and life i the mines. I also wanted to include my sincere story-telling tribute to all my Comrades of the Steel in this book, with whom I've had the distinct pleasure of either their long- or short-term acquaintance throughout that time. I feel that I was very fortunate to just be able to catch the last couple of historic mining decades, before the real mining larrikins and some very unique FIFO characters from the past 20 years started to disappear for good from all the mine sites here in Australia.
