Kenneth RuffMy name is Kenneth Ruff, I'm an Afro American by southern descent. I'm the third child by my mother and second child by my father. My oldest brother wasn't raised by my father, but by my grandmother on mother's side. We transitioned to St. Louis, Mo.in 1952. I went to school there. I graduated from Soldan High in 1968. I moved to K.C., Mo. in 1975. I went to Penn Valley Community College. I didn't graduate from PVCC. I found a job drafting. In 1980 I moved back to St. Louis, and after 20 years, I went back to school. Enrolled in ITT technical college. I received my associates degree in Computer Aided Drafting. (CADD) I worked for a consulting engineering fi rm. But after the attack on America in 2001, the firm shut down. I was laid off . After not being able to fi nd work for years, a friend told me that MCI was hiring. So I went there and was hired on the spot. I worked for MCI three years when Verizon brought them out.
