Kenneth A BrayKenneth A. Bray was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 1943, the son of an engraver and a homemaker. His first job, at the age of fourteen was a runner for a sportswear manufacturer, followed at sixteen as a carrier boy in the Montreal Eaton's store That began his career at Eaton's, which spanned approximately eleven years. He quickly rose in position to merchandise manager status, supervising numerous basement departments and over one hundred and twenty-five personnel. One of his greatest achievements within his basement departments was the creation of the historic Teen Fashion Show, featuring amateur models from his various departments. He was also one of the youngest managers ever in all Easton's Canada. In nineteen sixty-nine, he moved with his family to the United States to take a position as President of Tana Company of America. In later years Bray owned a Canadian fashion import business, general contracting business, built over one hundred houses, an international consulting business, consulted on the creation and development of over forty international businesses, and finally a Greetings on Gold greeting card and art manufacturing business. Upon retirement, at the age of seventy-five, he began writing his book about his time at Eaton's during the turbulent 1960's. His primary motivation for documenting those years was the preservation of facts surrounding the waning years of Eaton's and the historic account of Montreal under FLQ threats. Read More Read Less
