Ken WaldmanSince 1995, Ken Waldman has made his living as a freelance writer, musician, performer, and educator, appearing in a wide variety of venues for a wide variety of audiences. In addition to seven previous full-length poetry collections, he has a memoirand a children's book of poems. He also has nine CDs which combine original poetry with Appalachian-style string-band music and Alaska-set storytelling. Ken Waldman has an MFA from University of Alaska Fairbanks, and his work has appeared in such publications as Arts & Letters, Beloit Poetry Journal, Massachusetts Review, Puerto del Sol, Quarterly West, and in anthologies published by University of Alaska Press, University Press of New England, and Everyman's Library. Several of his poems and stories have been nominated for Pushcart Prizes. His most recent project is a trilogy about the 45th United States president, Donald Trump. The three books include 75 poems in Trump's voice, and 145 poems as commentary. Funny and Smart, says the Washington Independent Review of Books.
