Ken Streater

Ken StreaterMad hippos. Tropical nuclear attacks. Andean flash floods. Billionaire shenanigans. Siberian soccer wars. Midnight sunrises. I share what I've experienced around the world to help foster greater good on common ground. I've prayed for my life in the fce of angry mama hippos as they sized up my dugout canoe from just a few feet away. I was one of the first Westerners to walk into an indescribably isolated Siberian hamlet called Reindeer Hunting Village, to the surprise of the residents who initially ran and hid from us inside their bare-bone cabins. I've counseled multi-billionaires on multi-million dollar investments. As a marginal (at best) volunteer youth soccer coach, I've celebrated with kids in victory and consoled them in defeat. With time spent in places from Alaska to Zimbabwe, I've learned great lessons from everyday heroes simply by listening to them. I like to help people and communities laugh, ponder and grow. I am thankful and blessed to be able to do this. My stories offer insights into extraordinary leaders who bring about meaningful community change, like those found in my first book The Gift of Courage. I present concepts for our greater good, born of conversations with wise elders and young visionaries around the world. My upcoming book, Be the Good: Becoming a Force for a Better World, offers action steps for each one of us to take in order to build better places. Read More Read Less
