Kemba HubbardKemba Hubbard was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. She has spent the last 20-plus years servingchildren and families in several differentcapacities as a teacher, community worker, student services advisor, social worker, andschool psychologist. She aso has worked withcountless children and families impacted byincarceration. Incarcerated parents and youngblack males are near and dear to her heart. Thisis primarily due to the struggles she has witnessedfirsthand with her godchildren who landed in theperils of the criminal justice system. She continuesto be deeply moved by students she encounterswho are being swept up in the school-to-prisonpipeline. The goal of her participation in thisproject is to give hope to children experiencingwhat they may believe is a hopeless situation. Shecurrently lives in Marion, Ohio with her family.
