Kazuyuki TakaiKazuyuki Takai Is Professor in the Department of Chemical Science and Technology, in the Faculty of Bioscience and Chemistry, at Hosei University in Japan. He received his PhD from the Tokyo University of Technology. His research focuses on the physis and chemistry of condensed matter, particularly the electronic properties of carbon-based nanoscale systems, and their chemical modification. He has been awarded the Young Scientist Award from the Physical Society of Japan, and is on the editorial board of the Journal of the Carbon Society of Japan. He has published widely in the field.
