Kay SomersKay Somers earned a Ph.D. in mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She has worked in industry as a statistics and operations research analyst and is Professor of Mathematics at Moravian College where she has taught for 23 years. She recetly served as Director of General Education at Moravian and was co-director for several federal grants. The most recent of these was a National Science Foundation grant to develop and implement a quantitative reasoning course. She is active in the Mathematical Association of America and serves on the MAA Classroom Resources Editorial Board.
