Kaustav Padmapati"Dr Kaustav PadmapatiDr Kaustav Padmapati is currently working as Assistant Professor (Senior Scale) at UPES, Dehradun. Kaustav was also a Cross Cultural Fellow 2023 at Gender and Media Studies for the South Asian Region, Institute for Asian and Afrian Studies, Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany. He has nearly 14 years of experience in the areas of teaching and research, international relations projects, media, public policy, content writing and project coordination. He is also a recipient of the prestigious Fulbright Nehru Doctoral Research Fellowship and worked from August'11 to May'12 at Center for Asian Studies, School of International Service, American University, Washington DC, USA as Visiting Fulbright Research Scholar. He completed his Ph.D from School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi in 2021. He has published widely on international relations specifically on India- US Relations, Taiwan, Look East Policy, etc. and gender and queer identities. His research areas include China, the United States, Taiwan, East Asia, and Southeast Asia, media and popular culture, gender, and queer sexuality. Dr Prateeti BarmanDr Prateeti Barman as an Associate Professor teaches Social Work and Sociology in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of Assam down town University, Guwahati, Assam. She holds a Doctorate degree in Women's Studies and Master's degrees in Social Work and Sociology. Besides working in various government and non-governmental organizations of India, she served as an Assistant Editor to a scientific journal in AIT, Bangkok. She has published three books titled "Document on Peace Education", Xukia: Perspectives from Social Sciences and Humanities (co-edited) and "Changing Perception of Freedom: Civil Society and Its Response to United Liberation Front of Asom" (authored) besides research articles in peer-reviewed journals.
