Kathryn CopelandKathryn Copeland graduated from Southwest Baptist Junior College, obtained a diploma
in religious education and a BMT degree from Southwestern Baptist Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, and received her BA and MA from Baylor University. Miss Copeland rrived in 1926
at Anderson College, where she taught Bible and English. While Miss Denmark was president of the college, Miss Copeland served as dean of the faculty during the transition to junior college status. She was later appointed dean of the college and served as recording secretary for the Board of Trustees. She left Anderson College in 1954 and moved to Gardner-Webb College in Boiling Springs, North Carolina, to continue her career before retiring to Charlotte, North Carolina.
