Katherine Sanchez EspanoKatherine Sánchez Espano lives in Saint Johns, Florida, where she owns a portrait photography business and teaches writing. She holds a BA in Creative Writing from Carnegie Mellon University and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Floria. In addition to publishing in numerous journals, she has received a Florida Artist Enhancement Grant, was a semi-finalist in the Discovery/The Nation poetry contest, and has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Her poetry has been shaped by a variety of cultural influences from a young age, and she comes from a long lineage of painters and storytellers. She and her husband Allan have two children.
