Kat BoveyKat Bovey is a stay-at-home mum to her two toddlers in Ontario, Canada. She works as a full-time mum and a part-time content writer for a consulting firm. Reflecting on her experience growing up as the second youngest in a large British family of sevn, Kat began establishing a set of "parenting hacks." Among these hacks, she encourages her toddlers to spell out the word patience when overwhelmed with waiting (even when they were so young they could only repeat the sounds). She went on to use this as inspiration for her first published children's book, Patience. Her intention with the book is to help children take pause, refocus their thought process, understand that some things take time, and ultimately to help instill the value of patience--especially in an age of instant gratification.
