Karen L RichKaren L. Rich is a retiredAssociate Professor at The University of Southern Mississippi College of Nursing in Long Beach, Mississippi, where she taughtpopulation-focused nursing, law and ethics, professional development, and leadership. Dr. Rich's dotoral degree in nursing with an emphasis in ethics is from The University of Southern Mississippi. She has a master's in public health nursing from Louisiana State University and a post-master's in psychiatric-mental health nursing, nurse practitioner emphasis, from The University of Southern Mississippi. Dr. Rich serves as a Consultant Editor for the international Nursing Ethics journal. She serves on the ethics committee of a large county hospital in Gulfport, Mississippi. Dr. Rich has written a number of articles and book chapters about ethics and philosophy.
