Karen C DavisDr. Karen Davis is a Professor in the Department of Software Engineering and Computer Science at Miami University in Oxford, OH. Dr. Davis received a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Loyola University, New Orleans in 1985 and an M.S. and Ph.D. inComputer Science from the University of Louisiana, Lafayette in 1987 and 1990, respectively. She was a Professor in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department at the University of Cincinnati prior to joining the faculty at Miami. Her research interests include data modeling, query optimization, and computing education. She has over 100 refereed publications in conference proceedings, journals, and book chapters and more than 30 years of teaching experience.
