Kamil Reza Khondakar

Kamil Reza KhondakarDr. Kamil Reza Khondakar obtained his doctoral degree from the Centre of Personalised Nanomedicine in the Trau group, Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology, The University of Queensland, Australia. He is currently involved in themultiple surface marker profiling of cancer cells and monitor the drug sensitivity effect on the cell surface markers in a Raman (SERS) based microfluidic chip. The aim of his studies is focused on the development of next-generation diagnostics chips for multiple biomarker detection on a single chip to understand the tumor heterogeneity and provide an early detection strategy for cancer management.

Prior to this, he worked as a researcher in DST Center at Biomedical Instrumentation Section, National Physical Laboratory, India. His research activities included development of thin film-based microelectrodes using various nanostructures, nanocomposites for biomedical applications.

He received awards and honors due to his contributions to the field of biomedical technology. He was awarded International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS) from Government of Australia, and University of Queensland Centennial Scholarship (UQCent) from The University of Queensland, Australia. He was invited to give a talk at 'Biosensor 2018' conference at Miami, USA. Read More Read Less
