Kamal AsadiKamal Asadi is a Professor of Physics at the University of Bath in the United Kingdom. He obtained his PhD in Physics from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. During his PhD research, he worked on ferroelectric memories and opto-electroni devices based on ferroelectric polymers and invented two new types of ferroelectric memory devices. Following his PhD, he joined Philips Research Labs in Eindhoven in the Netherlands to work on oxide-semiconductors and graphene for lighting and microelectronics, and on ferroelectrics for sensing and actuating applications. Subsequently, he moved to the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz (Germany), where he received the highly prestigious Sofja Kavaleskaja Award from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in 2014. His current research focuses on piezoelectric polymers and multi-ferroic composites for application in memories, energy harvesting and sensors. Read More Read Less
