Jürgen TampkeJürgen Tampke was born 1944 in Brandenburg, Germany, and migrated to Australia in 1964. He graduated with first-class honours from Macquarie University in 1971 and with a PhD from the Australian National University in 1975. Jürgen occupied the positin of associate professor at the School of History, University of New South Wales, before his retirement.
