Sarnat Endowed Chair in Craniofacial Biology in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California Los Angeles. She earned her medical degree and her doctorate of philosoph in immunology from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine as part of the National Institutes of Health Medical Scientist Training Program. Subsequently, she completed a plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the University of Chicago followed by the UCLA Kawamoto craniofacial fellowship.
