Judith McCudden

Judith McCuddenJudith McCudden has been writing poetry for over 25 years, with her work appearing in Australian anthologies and chapbooks. She was actively involved in the Australian Poetry Centre and has performed at literary festivals throughout Australia.
br />Judith sold everything and moved to Canada. She describes this period as the greatest challenge of her life and the most fulfilling. She hopes her poetry will have a reflective effect on readers. As a legacy to her sons and grandchildren, she hopes they will understand through these poems why she made these decisions.

Judith has a Master of Education in music and drama therapy for autistic students and was a performing arts teacher for 30 years. Currently, she is a librarian. She writes a weekly article for a West Interlake newspaper under the byline "Girl from OZ," and she loves Winnipeg's thriving arts community, which spreads to communities such as Gimli, Flin Flon, and Neepawa.

Judith lives off-grid near West Interlake, Manitoba, with her husband, Brian, in a log cabin he built 25 years ago. A Stroke of the Foot is Judith McCudden's first book.
