Judith Fournie HelmsJudith retired after thirty-three years as a Chicago lawyer and now lives in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. She and her husband Larry have two daughters and two granddaughters. Judith is active with the Smith Mountain Lake Arts Council, Lake Witers, the interracial ladies' group Spectrum, and her neighborhood book club. She writes novels and short stories for and about women. Her short story, Springtime in Chicago, is featured in The Best of the Virginia Writers Club Centennial Anthology 1918-2018.
