Jozef J MatejkaJozef Ján Matejka was born on the 10th of March, 1949, in Trenčin, Slovakia. A doctor by profession, he started taking an interest in poetry during his college studies. However, he only became serious about writing in 2000, when he moved with hi family to Malta. There, he wrote and later published his first book, a poetry collection called Prílezitostné Básne.
